The Position

As a captioner, your primary task will be to accurately transcribe and create captions for audio and video content in compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will be working with a team of experts in the field, including proofreaders, writers, and QC associates to help deliver top-notch service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio and video content
• Create captions that adequately reflect the tone and context of the content
• Ensure captions are synced with the audio and video content
• Proofread and edit captions for accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality content
• Meet project deadlines

Qualifications

• A strong command of English grammar and spelling
• Excellent typing skills – a minimum of 50 words per minute
• Detailed oriented
• Able to follow instructions and guidelines
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Good listening and communication skills
• Multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience with transcription or captioning software is a plus

Training and Support

We provide our captioners with comprehensive training on our software and processes, as well as ongoing support to ensure that you have everything you need to excel in the role.

Working Hours

This is a flexible, full-time or part-time position, with the freedom to work from anywhere that has a reliable internet connection. As a 24/7 company, we require captioners to be available during different shifts, including nights and weekends.
