Job Description
As a data entry specialist, your responsibilities will include inputting various types of information into our system accurately and efficiently. You will be required to work with numerical data, alphanumeric data, and various other types of information. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical to the role. You will need to be comfortable doing repetitive tasks, have strong computer skills, and be able to focus for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep records of customer interactions and transactions
- Input data into our online databases and spreadsheets
- Scan documents and print files when necessary
- Check for and correct any errors in data entry inputs
- Verify data by comparing it to source documents
- Maintain data confidentiality and security
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this position, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
- Comfortable working with computers and basic software, such as Microsoft Office and Google Drive
- Good typing and data entry skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma is an asset.
- Previous experience in data entry positions is also an asset but not compulsory.
Working Conditions
This is a part-time position, with the expectation of 20 hours per week. The work is typically performed in an office environment, with regular use of laptops and other computer hardware and software. Some tasks may require standing or being seated for extended periods.
