Job Description

As a remote bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with clients, providing them with timely and accurate financial information and reports. You will use various bookkeeping software and tools to manage accounts, reconcile bank statements, and prepare financial statements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA or Certified Bookkeeper credential
  • At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Assist clients with tax preparation and filing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Communicate with clients to answer questions and provide updates
  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues
